From humble beginnings to empowering thousands
2019 - The Beginning
Upendo Foundation was founded in Bunagana with a vision to empower vulnerable communities. Our journey began with a focus on education for children who couldn’t afford school.
Initial Impact
Started with 20 children across two levels
Current Status
Now serving over 125 students
2024 - Voice of Upendo
Launched Voice of Upendo radio station to educate and inform the community on critical topics like health, entrepreneurship, and peacebuilding.

From current challenges to our vision for the future
Current School Condition
Our current school building is in poor condition, lacking proper infrastructure and facilities. The building needs significant renovation to provide a safe and conducive learning environment for our students.
School Development Plans
We have comprehensive plans to build a modern educational facility that will include spacious classrooms, a library, computer lab, and recreational areas. The new design focuses on creating an optimal learning environment.
Vision for the Future
Our final implementation plan includes a state-of-the-art educational complex with advanced facilities, sustainable design, and community spaces. This will be a center of excellence for education in the region.
